PNW Aquatic Advocates

Western Washington is in dire need of more safe places for families to swim.

Swim Safe Gig Harbor is honored to join together with other local aquatic groups from around the Puget Sound to cheer one another on in achieving our aquatic dreams for our communities!

Along with encouraging one another in our efforts, we are also committed to providing resources, information, and connections to assist each other with our projects.

We are so thankful to be connected to other "Aquatic Friends!" Certainly, we are stronger together in turning our aquatic center dreams into realities!

SPLASH Forward is the grassroots group who has been rallying the areas of Bellevue, Kirkland, and Redmond to build a new aquatic center. Founder Susan Pappalardo and her team have been working hard for the past few years advocating for this great need for their communities.

On October 18th, Bellevue City Council unanimously supported a joint Bellevue Parks and Community Service and SPLASH Forward recommendation for their preferred aquatic facility concept plan, and a master plan update for Bellevue Airfield Park to include the proposed aquatic center, and formal partnership with Splash Forward!

A huge congratulations to SPLASH Forward for this great accomplishment!
